Band saw blade width should match the width of the saw wheel

Summary:

The tensioning device of the band saw blade is divided […]

The tensioning device of the band saw blade is divided into two types: spring and pinch (weight). This machine is a spring device. The base tension should be determined according to the width, thickness and speed of the saw blade. Usually the finger is used to press the saw blade to determine whether the tension is proper according to the left and right bending of the saw blade. In general, when the saw blade is pressed by hand, the bending degree of the saw blade is preferably between 3.2 and 6.4 mm.
The band width of the band saw machine blade should be adapted to the width of the wheel surface of the saw wheel, and should not exceed the width of the wheel surface.
The saw blade is clamped in the middle of the saw clip. The bottom of the teeth should be in line with the outer edge of the saw clip. The saw blade cannot be clamped too tightly. It should be able to slide in the middle of the saw clip. There should be gaps on both sides. The gap on each side is about 0.04 ~ 0.08 mm. The back of the saw blade is about 0.8 mm away from the pulley. If the saw blade is already in contact with the pulley when it is idling, it means that the saw blade is at the back, or the pulley is at the front, or the saw blade's proper tension has disappeared. The upper saw wheel or pulley should be adjusted, or the saw blade should be removed and removed. Check for rolling and dressing.
When replacing the saw blade with a band saw, first open the upper and lower guard doors, loosen the slide fixing screws, turn the lifting hand wheel to lower the upper saw wheel, the saw blade becomes loose, take out the old saw blade, and cover the polished saw blade on the upper and lower saw wheels. The sharp angle of the saw teeth is downward, do not turn up, and then turn the lifting hand wheel to raise the upper saw wheel and tension the saw blade. Then turn the upper saw wheel by hand to see if all the saw teeth are exposed on the outer side of the rim of the saw wheel. If it is not exposed, adjust the upper saw wheel until the saw teeth expose the rim, and move smoothly on the upper and lower saw wheel edges Until perpendicular to the work surface.
